Laszlo Selly was born in Budapest Hungary. He started his Professional career at age 15 as an apprentice photographer. In In 1956, after the Hungarian Revolution, he came to New York and found a job as a dark room technician.  He continued to pursue the study of the art of photography. After assisting for several years with some of the top New York photographers he opened his own commercial studio.

His clients are within the largest food companies, advertising agencies, and many top magazines such as: Nabisco, General Foods, Domino Sugar, BBD&O, J. Walter Thompson, Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, and many others. After he ended his commercial career, he has focused his love and attention to worldwide travel and Fine Arts Photography.
